Butterfly made a very rapid descent to 3 m, towards a grove of
trees. A second D. plexippus was seen flapping along at 10 m and a third was
foraging in vegetation. Sharp-shinned hawks were also flying in the thermal. |

the field site was full of D. plexippus. I began to lose sight of the
higher butterflies against the bright sky. |
