to a thermal, began circling and soared to 60 m, glided down to a second thermal, then
began circling and climbing again. Three more D. plexippus were seen, all

Butterfly started at 3 m, descended to 0.5 m, climbed
to 15 m to clear trees, then found a thermal and began soaring. It continued to gain
altitude by soaring, switching between circling and flying straight, until it vanished at
30 m. |
